AN to field three candidates for EP election
Azzjoni Nazzjonali said today that it will field three candidates for the European Parliament elections on June 6
They will be party leader Josie Muscat, Malcolm Seychell and John Spiteri.
Dr Muscat said AN wanted to be the voice of the people in Europe and a voice which also clearly told the people what was happening in the EU.
He said Malta was facing a growing immigration problem and AN had been the only party which drew attention to it before the general election.
AN, he said, would work so that the EU did not enact one size fits all legislation which was better suited to the larger countries.

AN is in favor of burden sharing only as a second resort. The primary objective is that whilst respecting international law we have to close our borders to ILLEGAL immigration. Malta has to make constant noise at international community level and that's why you need to vote AN at the European Parliament. There is only one party who was consistent and credible on this issue, and that has always been AN.

At least with compulsory burden sharing Malta would be only left with about one or two immigrants. If this sharing was to be between all the immigrants that enter the EU then our share could possibly go up to about a thousand - which is still sustainable. That would be the end of it all. isent that one solution?

Hehhh, so AN is also in favour of burden sharing? Is somebody still thinking that burden sharing would solve the problem?
I have watched Malcolm Seychell various times on the TV, he's anything but convincing. With regards to Josie Muscat...I prefer not to speak about dissidents from the past!
Is Anglu Xuereb still in the party?

I shall most DEFINITELY be giving my vote to whoever promises to seriously tackle what has become a national crisis - ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Give us more details about how the AN plans to go about it and you have my guaranteed vote.

All the other parties put the interests of the illegal economic immigrats before the interests of the Maltese citizens who elected to look after their interests.
Abstention from voting will not get the message through.
Let's hope that AN will elect at least a candidate, but those who still want to send a message and still want to vote for their traditional parties can vote for them and write their message on their vote.
That is another way of making sure that your message gets through because our votes are what the politicants are really interested in.
Witness how they come visiting us a few months before elections.
So send your message through your vote, either by voting for AN or failing that your traditional party and write your message on your vote.

As a country we should have used the VETO when it came to the lisbon treaty and the voluntary burden sharing.
It should be obligatory burden sharing. Then I am sure the EU will start to do something.
Saying Yes to everything is not an option at least for me.
When it goes against our national Interest we should say NO even to bigger countries.

This allows us to gauge the level of national xenophobia. It will also show how deep an elector can dig into the values and quality of a candidate before giving his preference.

To AN,
Be very careful what you do from now until June because I am sure that Parliament will try and find a way not to let you run. Anyway, you most definitely have my vote.

Mine too. I don't care how big (and how big the egoes of) other parties are. Some people need to wake up and start to do something to deserve their wages and their extravagant 290€ PER WEEK PAYRISE.

i would like to know with whom the AN will be grouped if they eventually manage to win a seat in Brussels? Because its not about winning a seat in a parliament of around 600 deputies, but its all about which alliance one will join!
there's no doubt that Right Wing movements will gain tremendously this comng election, however, as far as i know, AN's main proposal on Immigration is similiar to the government and opposition, that is Burden Sharing between EU nations. I don't see how AN would ever be accepted which such a proposal with a Pan-European Right Wing bloc.
And if AN would decide to simply join Euro-Sceptics, EPP or simply stay there all alone, although they might get many votes from the ever growing anti-immigration votes, nothing will be solved. Things can start changing from Brussels once there's an important Right Wing alliance and Malta has a representation within that bloc.

Tell us what you plan to do with all these illegal immigrants.Select your candidates with care, and my vote might well go to you sir.

AN is the only party which is putting illegal immigration at the top of its agenda where it belongs.
All the other parties have been dodging the issue. While it may be argued that there are other problems facing the country, no other problem will have such a radical and devastating effect on Maltese society as illegal immigration.

Dear AN you definitely have my vote and my family members too. I believe you will do very well because the majority of the Maltese people had enough of this illegal immigration which turned into a huge national crisis.
