Man admits defrauding a string of shops
A 37-year-old man from Paceville this morning admitted defrauding a string of shops and was handed a two-year jail term suspended for four years.
Johnatan Triganza admitted to defrauding Scotts Ltd, Arkadia Foodstore, Frank Borda, Sterling Jewellers, Vascas Jewellers, Classic Jewellers, Diamonds International, Mediterranean Diamonds and Pagoda Restaurant for a total of €2,329 on or before January 27.
The fraud took place through unlawful use of a chequebook. The court heard that the accused did not have funds to repay the establishments.

So yet another slap on the wrist punishment for a multiple pre-meditated fraud, just to buy luxury items.
And so now he cannot repay the money, so he gets off scott free, and the only ones who suffer are the businesses he defrauded - not much of a deterrent to would be 'copy cat' criminals.
