Local film tops box office

Santa Monika, the fourth local cinema production, placed first in last week's box office chart.

KRS Film Distributors, its handler, said the prison drama directed by Fabian Mizzi attracted large audiences to the Eden, Embassy and Empire cinemas over the weekend.

As a result, Santa Monika will take part in the Eurocine 27 Film Festival being held on May 9 in Brussels, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Lyon and Strasbourg.
