Project, what project?

Signs stating that embellishment works in the playing field situated under the Regional Road bridge in San Ġwann were taking place would make a person think that the area was going to be given a total facelift.

However, the only embellishment works that have been carried out were the installation of a new set of swings, which replaced the old ones. The shrubs and shabby surroundings have been left untouched. Is this the kind of embellishment one would expect from a local council when boasting of a new project?

The surrounding walls, including the bridge's supporting concrete pillars, that desperately need a coat of paint, and the wall opposite the playing field, which also needs to be redone, leave much to be desired.

The shrubs are growing wildly out of hand and need to be removed once and for all!

One hopes that the embellishment works will continue and I would like to praise the council for the new swings installed.
