Hibs drop points, Sliema lose to Tarxien

Hibernians dropped two precious points in a 1-1 draw with Floriana in the afternoon's second Premier League match.

Terence Scerri opened the scoring for the leaders on 68 minutes but Ryan Darmanin equalised for the green within two minutes. Floriana had Doffo sent off a short time later, but it was too late for Hibs to capitalise.

The result leavs Hibs two points clear of Valletta, but the Citizens have a game in hand..

Earlier, Sliema Wanderers slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Tarxien Rainbows.

The goal came from Daniel Bueno in the 25th minute.

There was further embarrassment for Sliema, who had Mark Scerri sent off in the 57th minute.
