Floriana have filed a complaint with the Malta FA in response to Qormi's protest over the registration documents of the Greens' new Brazilian signing Paolo Rogerio Da Silva.

Qormi are contesting the authenticity of a number of signatures in Da Silva's transfer papers and the case has since been referred by the MFA Protests' Board to a handwriting expert.

For their part, Floriana on Friday evening sent a letter to the MFA accusing Qormi of breaching MFA regulations as well as the Data Protection Act after they gained access to the club's contract with the Brazilian player.

The Greens have asked the MFA to order an investigation into Qormi's conduct and requested permission to take the case before the Data Protection Commissioner.

Furthermore, Floriana have taken the unusual step of depositing a new registration for Da Silva, given that Qormi's protest over the validity of his original documents is still pending.
