Nine students from the Ħamrun Lyceum - Jaromir Sant, Mario Frendo, Nicholas Tabone, Ian Mangion, Joseph Bellizzi, Matthew Spiteri, Bernard Sant, Christian Muscat and Eliot Borg - recently joined a group of 500 students from 20 EU member states in a Euroscola session at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The students were each allocated an MEP seat for the day, which started off with a presentation about the parliament. This was followed by a brief introduction by representatives from each school.

The students were subsequently divided into different multilingual working groups to discuss six different topics of concern with the EU. Each group chose a spokesperson to present the conclusions of its discussions to all the participants in the final plenary session, who then voted on the conclusions.

The visit also included a day tour of Strasbourg. The students were accompanied by M'Louise Azzopardi and Laurence Borg.
