ABELA - BEATRICE (Bessie), née Griffiths, widow of Anthony, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at Mater Dei Hospital, on January 29, at the age of 91. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons, Michael and Nella, David and his wife Anna, her daughter-in-law Madeleine, widow of her son George, her grandchildren Jamie and his wife Kate, Simon, Mandy, Helena, Jessica, Giulia and Luke, especially her nieces Jackie Aquilina, Susan Drury Sanpaio and Helen Lange and other nephews and nieces, in-laws and friends. The funeral Mass will take place tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. at the Carmelite church, Balluta, St Julians. No flowers by request but donations to any charitable institution will be appreciated. BORG-CARDONA - NICHOLAS, aged 26, lost his battle with leukaemia on January 25. He departed peacefully on his next journey comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by his family and friends at the Hammersmith Hospital, London.
