Andreotti's connections
I wish to add to the letter by Mgr Joseph Farrugia about the so-called Catholic politi- cian Gulio Andreotti (January 21).
I would kindly recommend the excellent book Midnight In Sicily by Peter Robb in which, among other things, he writes (in detail) about the alleged Mafia connections of Sig. Andreotti's.

I happen to be one of those many who like Sig. Andreotti. Some years ago I was under the impression that he was a non-believer. Recently, however, I had to change my opinion when he appeared in various T.V. programmes and confirmed his Christianity. He is also a staunch believer in the Sainthood of the Blessed Pope John XXIII (whom I venerate). Who knows, perhaps he has "seen the light" in his old age. Anyway, I shall try to get hold of the book Midnight in Sicily. Perhaps it will bring me back full turn!
