The Institute of Financial Services Practitioners will be holding the Foundation Certificate in Trusts Law and Management course for the seventh successive year. The course will be held over a seven week period beginning in February.
The course will cover the general principles and maxims of trusts and equity with lectures conducted by Prof. Gerwyn Griffiths, a visiting lecturer from the University of Glamorgan in Wales. Maltese lecturers will cover trusts under Maltese law. The course is in line with the competence requirements of the Malta Financial Services Authority for the conduct of trustee services in Malta, which considers the attainment of this certificate as an asset.
The Institute of Financial Services Practitioners has obtained recognition from The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (Step) in that this Certificate has now been equivalently aligned with the Step Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management.
