Entrepreneurs urged to use tourism grant scheme

Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono urged entrepreneurs to avail themselves of the newly launched grant scheme for tourism projects to make establishments more sustainable and competitive.

Addressing a conference entitled 'Sustainable tourism - who is responsible?', which highlighted various practices promoting sustainable tourism operations, the minister said this was particularly relevant to the eco-Gozo vision. This resulted in better profitability for businesses, the minister said.

Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism Mario de Marco also addressed the conference, which took place at the Kempinski San Lawrenz Resort.

It was organised by the Tourism and Sustainable Development Unit in association with the Federation of Tour Operators.
