Customs seize alcohol, cigarettes

Eighty bottles of alcohol and 8,385 cigarettes were confiscated from San Ġwann and Għaxaq by the Customs Department last week. A spokesman for the department said yesterday the alcohol and cigarettes were confiscated from shops and clubs because no excise tax had been paid on them.

Investigations continue.
