Raymond Abela, 41 of Birkirkara this morning pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring a 77-year-old woman, Maria Concetta Abela, in a snatch and grab incident at Msida seafront on Monday.

He also denied stealing her handbag, breaching the conditions of a previous release and breaching the conditions of a suspended prison sentence.

Mr Abela was remanded in custody.
