Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, currently on an official visit to Germany, this morning met the Premier of the metropolitan region of Hamburg, Ole von Beust, and a business delegation. Trade exchanges and investment opportunities in Malta were discussed.

He also visited HafenCity - a small IT township - and will this afternoon tour facilities of Lufthansa Tecknik.

His three-day visit started yesterday with talks in Berlin with Chancellor Angela Merkel. He also met Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeirer.

He is due to meet business leaders in Stuttgart tomorrow.
