VisitMalta website's popularity
The visitmalta.com website receives an average of around 8,000 hits a day.
Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi told Gino Cauchi (PL) that since January 1, 2008, it registered more than 2.65 million visitors, with 236 million hits over the same period. When the website is used to book hotels or car rentals the Malta Tourism Authority receives a percentage payment from the beneficiary companies.
