The GRTU said today that the Deloitte analysis into the methodology used for the new utilities tariffs was a 'rubber-stamping exercise' which left much to be desired.
The SMEs chamber said Deloitte had not tested the data given to them but they admitted that there was discrimination in the tariffs structure against commercial users.
The audit firm also spoke of an agreement with the constituted bodies, ignoring the fact that the Prime Minister himself had said there was no agreement with the GRTU.
The GRTU said it remained firmly against the new tariffs structure because of its discriminatory nature against SMEs.
It pointed out that it had complained formally to the Malta Resources Authority even before the relevant legal notice was issued, but it was still awaiting a reply.
The GRTU yesterday ordered its members not to pay part of the utility tariffs they received.
