Doctors and endocrinologists from 24 European and Mediterranean countries took part in the European Society of Endocrinology's sixth postgraduate course in clinical endocrinology, which was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta from January 8 to 10.

The conference was hosted by the Malta Institute of Medical Education and organised by Prof. Josanne Vassallo from Mater Dei Hospital's Diabetes and Endocrine Centre.

The course highlighted the latest developments in the area of diabetes and endocrinology, and developments in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of diseases involving hormonal dysfunction and diabetes mellitus.

Participants were also able to network and discuss specific cases and problems with leading experts.
