Wine courses

A series of wine courses aimed at those who would like to learn more about the world of wine has been launched by 118 Wines in collaboration with Winebox Ltd.

The 118 wines brand includes Malta's only wine publication, the 118 Wines Club as well as TV features broadcast worldwide on Wine TV. Sabrina Mulligan said that from the start, the aim was to bring wine lovers together, create networking events for people who share a love for wine and want to know more about it.

The 118 Wines Club now has over 1,000 members who attend regular wine-tasting events, tutorials and wine tours.

The first course, '118 wine appreciation', conducted by wine specialist Josef Bonello, will consist of four two-hour sessions with the participation of special wine guests and wine-tasting sessions with tips on choosing wines for various occasions.

Participants will receive a 118 Wines certificate and a free club membership entitling them to various discounts on wines, wine accessories, wine books and wine travel.

This year, a timetable with different levels of wine courses, from the most basic to themed lectures and professional master classes, will be launched. This first course is aimed at those who would like to learn more about wines and enjoy getting to know how to choose wines when dining with clients and friends.
