Premier School of Football marked the beginning of 2009 with two activities for all the children attending the school.

The football school, now in its fourth year, organised a cultural activity and a Christmas party.

During the first activity, the youngsters attended the In Guardia parade at Fort St Elmo, a re-enactment that portrays an authentic historical event set in the late 16th and early 17th century.

A Christmas party was later staged at Popeye Village.

Malta U-21 player Steve Borg was invited to distribute gifts, including a national team shirt and a Juventus team poster signed by all players who took part in last year's training camp in Malta.

The school is presently accepting applications for the term commencing in February.
