Man arrested after car chase

Mobile Squad policemen this evening arrested a man after a car chase from Luqa to Tal-Barrani Road near Gudja.

The incident happened after policemen noticed an offroad Mercedes being driven without number plates. When they tried to tow it the owner arrived and drove off at high speed.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed into a police car which was blocking its way, one of five which converged on the scene.

Investigations are continuing.

Just like the lovley American cop movies. Think about it, would it have ben better (and cheaper) to just pay the licence.

just make this bloke, if guilty, pay for his misdeeds and for ruining police property. also take his car and use it for policing duties. That will settle the score.

Is the name of the perpetrator intentionally withheld ? Will he be charged also for wilful damage to Police/Public property ?

Seen the incident last night; looks like the police did well to stop this man before he joined the main road. there was more than five police cars there were at least 8, and the Mercedes was one of those huge people carrier types.
