Ireland to seek extradition of rape suspect from Malta
The Irish police are to seek the extradition from Malta of an Irish man who allegedly raped his mother on Mother's Day, The Herald has reported.
The 44-year-old is also thought to have been involved in other serious assaults on elderly women in Dublin.
His mother, who is in her late 60s, has not been able to live on her own since March, when she suffered the attack.

note that what your are saying has nothing to do with the EU but with the schengen agreement. Also ireland is not part of this agreement and therefore his passport should have been checked.

What is this man doing in Malta surly when he presented his passport at airport arrival the barcode would have shown all information of his history that he has been in prison , maybe we should check everybody that comes in like they do in australia.

Why was this man let on bail if he is 'one of the most heinous and unstable criminals' What were the irish police thinking and why wasnt he stopped at the airport in ireland?
