Travellers warned on Gaza
The Foreign Ministry is urging anyone in Gaza to make contact with it immediately as Israel continues its fierce onslaught in the region. Anyone travelling to Gaza, or remaining in Gaza, will be doing so on their own responsibility as consular assistance is very limited, the ministry warned. The ministry can be contacted on 2204 2327.
The death toll in Gaza rose to over 900 yesterday as Israeli forces continued to pound the Palestinians in that territory in a bid to stop Hamas from firing rockets into Israel.
