Projectnews kids care
Projectnews children presenting the cheque to Puttinu Cares at Mater Dei Hospital's Rainbow Ward.
The Projectnews team collected €555 for Puttinu Cares Children Cancer Support Group and €800 for L-Istrina 2008.
The group consists of 16 children who deliver weekly local and international news and current affairs issued from a child's perspective.
The Puttinu Cares sum was collected during a book sale at the Mater Dei Hospital foyer. During this same activity, the children continued collecting money in L-Istrina piggy banks. Projectnews also collected money for L-Istrina during their filming sessions in the streets of Valletta during December.
Puttinu Cares vice president Angele Cuschieri received a cheque at the Rainbow Ward at Mater Dei Hospital. A second cheque was presented by young Projectnews representatives during the live transmission of l-Istrina 2008 to Peppi Azzopardi and Valerie Vella.
