Grand Priory annual investiture

The Grand Priory of the Maltese islands of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem recently held its annual investiture at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Valletta.

Mass, led by the Grand Priory's chaplain Thomas Moore, OFM Conv., was followed by the investiture ceremony, presided over by Grand Prior Chev. Joseph R. Pace. Four postulants were admitted to the Order and a number of promotions and awards were presented. A gala dinner was later held at the Casino Maltese.

Among guests at the investiture and dinner were Chev. John Moriarty and his daughter-in-law from California, and Chev. Aarne Koskimies, Grand Prior of Finland.

Donations were made to the Order of Charity Raoul Follereau Foundation and to the convent of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
