Carlos Tevez wants his contract negotiations concluded fast or else he will consider the option of leaving Manchester United at the end of the season.

With Real Madrid and Inter showing keen interest, Tevez, 24, told reporters on Monday that he wants his future sorted out quickly after having rejected a new offer from the Premier League champions.

"I want to stay but the club have not made any offer. I've been waiting for a year and a half," Tevez told reporters in Buenos Aires.

"If a club comes to me and offers me a five-year deal, I will accept it."

Tevez is also risking the wrath of manager Alex Ferguson following his reaction to the Scotsman's comments regarding his contract situation.

"I didn't like him (Ferguson) saying I didn't like the offer I was made because neither my agent nor me were given one," the Argentina international said.

"I don't know anything on my future. United know what they must pay if they want me to stay."

The situation has prompted reports that Tevez, who joined United from West Ham in 2007, is a target for other big clubs, with Primera Liga champions Real heading the list.

"If I have to quit the club, I want to quit on good terms," Tevez added.

"Now all clubs are on an equal footing. If a club comes to me and offers me a long-term contract, I will accept it for peace of mind. Then, I'll probably go back to Boca Juniors. That could be in four or five years.

"At the moment, however, I want everybody to know no offer has been made."

Meanwhile, Tevez's agent Kia Joorabchian told reporters yesterday that there was no problem between his client and the United manager.

Joorabchian said: "No. Tevez just wanted to clarify that he hadn't received an offer, basically. Everything's fine.

"He gets on very well with Ferguson. Everything started with a lie written by an English journalist who wrote that Ferguson had said they made an offer.

"The truth is there are no problems and he's going to carry on playing for Manchester United until the end of the season."
