Kindergarten assistants to take action

The Malta Union of Teachers will be instructing kindergarten assistants and learning support assistants, as well as supply kindergarten assistants and supply learning support assistants, to take industrial action. The union will be announcing the first in a series of directives during a rally to be held on Friday.

It complains that the reform agreed on with the government has not yet been implemented to the detriment of the assistants and despite efforts on its part.

Kindergarten assistants should be very careful before they obey their union. They may find themselves locked out, manhandled, transferred even to Gozo, have the officials of their union assaulted, their H;qrs ransacked...Be very careful. I speak from experience!
