MIA launches shared transportation system
A shared transportation system from the airport to the leading hotels and vice-versa is being launched by Malta International Airport on January 14.
The coach transfer route will be operated regularly in conjunction with maltatransfer.com Ltd.
MIA said that passenger bookings will be channelled mainly online and on a pre-booking basis through the maltatransfer.com site, airline and hotel websites as well as tourist information sites.
There will be no fixed or scheduled routes but a customised service will be operated according to passengers’ necessities of passengers.
An MIA spokesman said that positive feedback on this new development was received from the Malta Tourism Authority, the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association, the Malta Transport Authority and Gozo Channel.
