Industrial producer prices up

Industrial producer prices in October increased by 4.7 percent when compared with the previous month, the National Statistics Office said.

It said prices in the domestic market were unchanged only in the capital goods sectors with the largest increase - 12.25 percent, being registered in the energy sector.

Consumer durables and non-durables sectors increased marginally by 0.57 percent and 0.13 percent respectively while the intermediate goods sector decreased by 0.13 percent.

Comparing October this year to the corresponding month last year, producer prices registered increases in the domestic market for all main industrial groupings (MIGs).

On the other hand, decreases were registered in all MIGs except for consumer non-durables in the Euro zone export market. In the non-euro zone export market, decreases were registered in all the sectors except for the consumer durables sector, which remained stable.
