The battle of the pantomimes is well underway and there is no clear winner, except the audience, now spoilt for choice.

Both MADC's The Remarkable Voyage Of Sinbad (The Tailor) and Masquerades' Jack And The Beanstalk offer a whirlwind of colour and fun, music, dance, belly aching laughter, audience participation, plenty of jokes for toddlers and adults and a fair deal of scything commentary on local current affairs - all the elements audiences have come to love and expect.

In addition, the audiences can feast eyes and your ticklish sense of humour with a double dosage of hilarious tour-de-force panto dames in Alan Montanaro and Ray Calleja.

Which is the best? Which is the funniest? The best way to find out is to watch them both and then decide. How about that?

The Remarkable Voyage Of Sinbad (The Tailor) at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre, in Ta' Qali runs till January 4.

Jack And The Beanstalk is being held at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta and runs till January 11.
