The University's Department of Pharmacy is planning to introduce computer-aided learning in its undergraduate course in the near future.
Lilian Azzopardi, Anthony Serracino Inglott and Marie Clare Zammit from the department last month participated at the second European workshop on computer-aided learning in the pharmaceutical sciences, held in Vienna, Austria. About 30 participants from 10 European countries attended the workshop.
The two-day workshop dealt with the use of computer-aided learning, e-learning, and in-silico learning in the pharmaceutical education. Of particular interest was a hands-on session using the Pharm Xplorer online programme for teaching pharmacy.
The workshop was jointly organised by the University of Vienna's Faculty of Life Sciences and the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS)'s branch office for in-silico systems and learning.
