The leadership of the Labour Party this morning marked Karin Grech's murder with a visit to her grave at the Addolorata Cemetery.

Ms Grech was killed when she was 15 with a letter bomb addressed to her father Edwin on December 28, 1977.

Leader Joseph Muscat, who was accompanied by deputy leaders Anglu Farrugia and Toni Abela, described the murder as an ugly wound for Maltese society "a wound, which like all the others needs to be solved".

The leadership put flowers on Ms Grech's grave. A rememberance Mass is being held at the San Gwann parish church this evening.
