Sliema ASC have given their green light for coach Sergio Afric to take charge of ESN Catania in their next two matches in the Italian A1 league next month.

Last week, the Malta champions had also acceded to a request by the Sicilian club to release Afric temporarily for the match against RN Bogliasco as former coach Giovanni Puliafito had decided to leave after four years.

Catania had the better of Bogliasco 7-6 with one of the goals for the losers coming from Malta international Steve Camilleri.

Catania's next opponents will be Sori at home, on January 6, and SNC Civitavecchia, away, four days later.

Sliema ASC said they had agreed to let Afric coach Catania in their next two matches as the National Pool will be closed during the festive period. Peter Decesare will conduct training when the pool re-opens on January 5.
