Mega yacht marina

Marina Bizerte in Tunisia, now a modest 100-yacht centre, will be converted into a state-of-the-art 900-berth marina which can host superyachts and megayachts of up to 150 metres long, a luxurious residence and a quality operation of yachting services and facilities.

The project should be completed by December 2011. This was disclosed by Issiou Mohamed Fathi, Tourism Commissioner for Bizerte, to Wilfred Sultana, editor and publisher of Yachting in Malta.

Mr Sultana was on a visit to the six yacht marinas, spread along the 1,200-kilometre long Tunisian coast, as guest of the Tunisian National Tourist Office and the Tunisian airlines Sevenair.
