Obituary
AZZOPARDI. On December 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTONIA, aged 92, of Rabat, residing at Villa Messina, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her daughter Vivienne and her husband Lino Spiteri, her daughter Pauline and her partner John Micallef, her sister Rose Demicoli, her sister-in-law Christine Azzopardi, her grandchildren Noelle, Bertrand, Lara and Lincoln and their partners, her great-grandchildren Valentina, Matthias, Andrea, Zachary, Jake, Samara and Jade, other relatives and friends - RIP. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at Ta' Giesu church, Rabat, at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
BORG GUSMAN. On December 19, at St Bernardette Hostel, Melbourne, Australia, JOSEPH aged 84, originally from Paola, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss nephews and nieces and their families in Malta, Australia and Sweden. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
DEBATTISTA, on December 22, CARMEN née Grima, aged 63, passed away peacefully at her residence in Mosta. She will be greatly missed by her husband Michael, her daughters Ilenya and Jacqueline wife of Keith Gauci and baby Judith, her sister Mary Lourdes, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said at Mosta Rotunda today at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by special request but donations to The Malta Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors at home.
SACCO. On December 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELINA (Lina) of Sliema, widow of Paul, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Renè and his wife Angela, Yvonne and her husband John Frendo, Marlene, widow of Joe Baldacchino, Mary Rose, widow of Paul Micallef and Martin and his wife Carmen, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Mary residing in Australia, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 9.30 a.m. at St Gregory parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Christmas in San Lawrenz
The village of San Lawrenz will be transformed into a live Bible story tomorrow, Christmas Eve, when the 39th Christmas pageant of the village will be held. The representation involves the participation of nearly half the population of San Lawrenz who take part in the re-enactment that starts at 8.30 p.m. in the parish square.
Australian High Commission
The Australian High Commission, Ta' Xbiex, will be closed between tomorrow and Friday and on December 31 and January 1 and 2.
Mosta exhibition
The Mosta Philanthropic Talent Group is holding a Christmas exhibition at the National Cultural Centre, Ir-Razzett Tal-Markiz Mallia Tabone, Wied il-Ghasel Street, Mosta, until January 4. Doors are open between 6 and 9 p.m. on weekdays and between 9.30 a.m. and noon and 6 and 9 p.m. on Sundays and public holidays.
Cribs on display
An exhibition of cribs by Rosalino and Ignatius Saliba is mounted at La Rosa Mansions, Garage C, Good Shepherd Avenue, Balzan, until January 4. The exhibition is open between 5 and 8 p.m. on weekdays and between 10 a.m. and noon and 5 and 8 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
