The Criminal Appeals Court presided by Chief Justice Vincent de Gaetano has altered bail conditions imposed by the Magistrates’ Court in Gozo in the case instituted by the police against Peter Paul Vella, a teacher who stands accused of being in possession of child pornography.

An appeal against the bail conditions had been filed by the Attorney General.

The appeals court found that the personal guarantee of €1,000 imposed by the lower court was far too low and raised to a deposit €3,000.

The Appeals court upheld the other bail conditions imposed by the lower court.
