In Lija yesterday afternoon I gave way to a car to turn onto a side road, whilst I had right of way the lights were red so I wasn't missing anything not going to waste time and besides I stopped a couple of meters before I would have had to stop. A car whose owner decided I shouldnt have stopped nearly collided with the car crossing as he simply overtook me.We are simply a stupid selfish lot (generally speaking of course)
While on the matter of traffic, can someone do an audit of the number of reserved parking areas around Malta please? I believe one was done in Valletta and a lot of them removed. Also can these be removed from the jurisdiction of Local Councils? I firmly believe that an abuse is happening.

How I agree, in Mosta yesterday aftrenoon, in spite of an anti speed bump, a stop sign plus a white line, PLUS a MRROR showing traffic that had the right of way, a motorist rather than stop drove into a passing car, it took 2 hours at least for the warden to arrive, the car was badly damaged , the insurance will go up I hope, the radiator was damaged , so it is undrivable, all to save 5 seconds! The driver should be banned for 6 months, should have to retake the test, fined 100 Euros, this should be mandatory for all drivers who cause collisions, it was not an accident, no tolreance, this would cut such accidents, immediately.

Don't know the details of the accident, but cars don't turn over by themselves, if driven in a safe and sensible fashion.
The standard of driving in Malta on the whole is appalling.
In the past 8 months whilst I have been parked at the side of the road, I have had three accidents where vehicles have run into my car,one such incident, the damage was so bad ,a crow bar had to be used to get me out of my car, resulting in my car being a total loss.
Instead of traffic wardens, handing out parking tickets at will, surley thier time would be better spent penalising the numerous amounts of bad driving that one can witness every day.
