The Malta Union of Teachers has criticised delays in the publication of exam results for kindergarten assistants.

The MUT said that a call for kindergarten assistants working in years I and II was made in summer but the results have not yet been published.

The Education Ministry shared the frustration of the union but pointed out that the results were the responsibility of the Public Service Commission.

A spokesman for the ministry said the government agrees that the delay is causing problems and that the results should be published as soon as possible.

The union said it would be holding a council meeting to decide what steps should be taken on the delay.
