Noon The President receives Socjetà Filippo Borgia president and committee members on a courtesy call at the Palace, Valletta.

1.30 p.m. The President attends Christmas drinks hosted by Hili company chairman and directors at Magazino, Valletta Waterfront.

10 a.m. The President is presented with a donation in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund by Aquatic Sports Association president Robbie Ebejer, at the Palace, Valletta.

10.30 a.m. The President is presented with a donation in aid of the MCCF by the John's Group board of directors, on the group's 50th anniversary, at the Palace, Valletta.

6.30 p.m. The President attends a concelebrated Mass by Archbishop Paul Cremona, on the 50th anniversary of Pope John XXIII's historic visit to the Regina Coeli Prison, at St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta.

8 p.m. The President and Mrs Fenech Adami view L-Istrina 2008 venue and meet the organisers at Montekristo Wine Vaults.

Saturday
11 a.m. The President and Mrs Fenech Adami preside over L-Istrina charity marathon at Montekristo Wine Vaults.

10 a.m. The President and Mrs Fenech Adami attend a reception hosted by St Helen's band club at its premises in Birkirkara.

11.30 a.m. The President attends the Fun Races Event organised by Assocjazzjoni Sports Muturi (ASM), during which funds will be collected in aid of the MCCF, at the race circuit, Ta' Qali.
