The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice in collaboration with the For Diversity Against Discrimination Campaign recently organised a forum on the theme Islam and Christianity - working together on the common ground.
The For Diversity Against Discrimination campaign aims to inform people about their rights and obligations in the EU with regards to combating discrimination on the grounds of racial or ethnic origin, religion, age, disability and sexual orientation; and to raise awareness about discrimination issues and the benefits of diversity.
The event was held at the St Aloysius College Sixth Form hall in Birkirkara. Members of the audience included Christians and Muslims living in Malta.
The importance of embracing diversity and avoiding discrimination on grounds of religious belief or ethnic origin was highlighted during the forum.
