Documentary wins Sicilian award
Sinews, a documentary by Maltese film-maker Clifford Borg-Marks has won a Paladino D'Oro for the best foreign film at the Palermo International Sport Film Festival in Sicily.
The documentary was also nominated for Best Film and Best Sound Mix. This follows the Mention D'Honneur won by Mr Borg Mark at the Sport Movies and Television International Festival in Milan last month.
Sinews was produced by Hong Kong-based East Zone Films and takes a closer look at Chinese sport movies through the ages, documenting the rise of Chinese sport and discussing its long-term impact on the population.
The film was screened at the Cinema Fiamma in Palermo during the festival.
