An army sergeant filed a second official letter demanding his immediate promotion to Staff Sergeant after claiming that he was left out of a maths course.

Sergeant Joseph Galea said that Brigadier Carmel Vassallo, commander of the Armed Forces of Malta, had failed to include him in the list of participants for the maths course. Recalling the first official letter filed on October 3, Sergeant Galea asked the Prime Minister to intervene and see that the promotion takes place for otherwise he would have no other option but to take further court action.

The judicial letter was signed by lawyer Anġlu Farrugia.
