Dawn of a new way of doing politics

Finally, we have a smiling Prime Minister and a smiling Leader of the Opposition. Finally, we have Lawrence Gonzi and Joseph Muscat who are both family people. Finally, we have Dr Gonzi and Dr Muscat with a similar type of character and more importantly putting the interest of the country before everything else. Finally, we have a situation where not everything that the government does or proposes is shot down by the Opposition and vice versa. On the contrary we are seeing a situation where the opposition is in fact supporting the government on matters of national importance. This augurs well and is in line with both Dr Gonzi's and Dr Muscat's declarations on introducing a new way of doing politics.

I augur that these two distinguished persons and their colleagues work together, as closely as possible, to take the country forward for the benefit of all Maltese citizens.
