Afric linked with Catania return

A prominent Italian waterpolo website has reported that Sergio Afric, currently in charge of the Malta national team, will renew his connections as coach of ES Catania.

"According to reliable sources, Sergio Afric will probably be substituting Giovanni Puliafito as coach of the club from Catania," the website report claimed.

"This news is unofficial but if confirmed it will be a twist of irony in that when his team meets RN Bogliasco on Saturday the expert coach from Croatia will come across Steve Camilleri, the player who was under his charge for four years before Afric moved to Sliema ASC."

Meanwhile, a group of Neptunes supporters will be travelling to Catania to watch Camilleri in action against the Sicilian team on Saturday in an Italian A1 Championship match.

The Maltese player is currently heading RN Bogliasco's scorers' list with 17 goals from eight matches and lies in sixth position in the overall list of scorers in the top Italian league.
