Two Premier League players were yesterday given a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.

Floriana's Joseph Borg was suspended after seeing red 20 minutes into the second half of the Greens 2-1 defeat to Birkirkara last weekend.

Ħamrun Spartans midfielder Rupert Mangion was also banned for one match after picking up his fourth yellow card this season in his team's 3-0 win over Sliema .

Borg will have to skip Floriana's derby against Sliema Wanderers on Sunday while Mangion will sit out the Spartans' next league match against Marsaxlokk, on January 3.
