Blackburn appoint Allardyce as manager

Blackburn Rovers have appointed Sam Allardyce as their new manager on a three-year contract, the Premier League club said in a statement today.

The former Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United manager replaces Paul Ince who was sacked yesterday after Blackburn lost their last six league matches.
