Unions' tug of war at Maltapost
Maltapost has called a meeting with the GWU and the UHM for next Friday after both unions claimed to represent more than half of the workforce.
The UHM said it had been given confirmation in writing by the management that it represented more than 50% plus one of the workforce covered by the collective agreement.
Earlier, the GWU said it had been granted recognition by the management as representing the majority of the workforce.
The UHM in a statement this evening said both unions had been called to a meeting in an effort to find a solution on who should make representations on behalf of the workers.

I think 2 simple questions would easily answer this ....
What rights have the workers lost during the last 5 years?
Which union was representing them during this time?
I think the postal operators can easily give an answer ....
