At the start of yesterday's Parliamentary sitting, former Leader of the Opposition Alfred Sant asked the Speaker what had happened to his breach of privilege complaint against Minister Austin Gatt.
He said that the House Privileges Committee held only one sitting, which was mainly procedural.
Dr Sant said that it was unjust on him if his complaint continued to be taken lightly.
Acting Speaker Carmelo Abela informed Dr Sant that he knew that a meeting of the committee was being planned for this week but certain members could not make it.
Mr Abela said that he would inform Mr Speaker Louis Galea of the Labour MP's concern.
Dr Sant had raised a privilege complaint when he denied claims made by Dr Gatt in Parliament that he had information about the MITTS hacking inquiry and had tried to spin the story to a newspaper to mislead investigations.
