The government considers Maltese youths aged 18 and over responsible and mature enough to be entitled to vote in Maltese elections. In this age of toughened laws against racism and xenophobia, as well as discrimination against people of any colour, it is baffling that Maltese citizens under the age of 25 are barred from access to certain entertainment establishments. Is Malta then a country that discriminates against its own citizens?
