A 24-year-old motorcyclist from Birżebbuġa died in a traffic accident this afternoon.

The police said the accident happened in Għar Dalam Road at around 1.30 p.m. The young man crashed into a Peugeot, lost control and crashed into a Hyundai coming from the opposite direction.

The Peugeot driver is being treated for shock.

Duty magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona is holding an inquiry.
