Canon Michael Borg of Xagħra has been appointed rector of St Paul's church in Marsalforn, succeeding Fr Mariano Zammit of Xewkija, who served the church for the past 32 years.

Fr Borg, a delegate for Caritas (Gozo), was parish priest of San Lawrenz and rector of St Anne chapel in Dwejra for 29 years.
